A&R (AIM: AGU.L), a zinc/lead mining company whose primary focus is the re-opening of the Black Angel Mine in Western Greenland, is pleased to announce a successful placing of 70,639,000 ordinary shares (the “Placing Shares”) at a price of 5p, raising £3,531,950 before expenses.
Funds raised will be used for advancing the company’s Black Angel project in Greenland - including completion of the installation of the cable car and the commencement of the installation of equipment to allow the Black Angel Mine to become operational.

A&R (AIM: AGU.L), a zinc/lead mining company focused on re-opening the Black Angel Mine in Western Greenland, is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Black Angel Mining A/S, has been awarded a 30 year licence to mine zinc, lead and silver ore from the Black Angel Mine. This licence allows production to commence at Black Angel and forms the latest development of the proposed restart of the mine planned for later this year.
In addition, a further mining licence application at the nearby Nunngarut zone is currently being prepared for submission.

Short term loan from Cyrus Capital Partners LP
for Black Angel Project in Greenland

A&R announces that it is borrowing $1,650,000 from Cyrus Capital Partners LP (Cyrus). The loan, which is repayable in three months, will bear interest at 14% per annum and is subject to an arrangement fee of $150,000.
Cyrus holds 37.5 million warrants at an exercise price of 20p, with an expiry date of 10th July 2010 and is therefore considered to be a related party.

Black Angel Bankable Feasibility Study & Mining Licence Application

Angus & Ross PLC is pleased to announce that Wardell-Armstrong International mining consultants have completed the Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) based on pillar extraction from the Black Angel and Cover Zones of the Black Angel mine in Greenland. The report covers the first three years of mining operations and indicates a post tax internal rate of return (IRR) of 43% based on zinc and lead prices both averaging $2,500 per tonne throughout the forecast period. The Company has applied for the mining licence to the Greenlandic authorities. Extraction is expected to commence in Q4 2008.

Brazilian subsidiary St.
Andrews Mining Limited has raised a total
of £825,000 in a pre IPO round of equity financing
via a Private Placing. 11 million shares were sold at 7.5p each including
3.34 million subscribed for by A&R. As a result outside shareholders
including local management now own 19% of St. Andrews,
with A&R owning the balance of 81%. At the placing
price, St. Andrews is capitalised at £5 million.

is pleased to report on progress of its 2006 exploration programme
at its Black Angel zinc/lead property in West Greenland.
A total of over 1000 metres has already
been drilled with 15 holes completed in the first 3 weeks of the
current programme. In
particular 11 new holes have been drilled to test the continuity
of mineralisation in the area of the Ark Showing,
an area where data from 12 holes drilled by previous operators already
exists.

Two drilling rigs are now in full 24-hour operation and the first 75m hole has been completed. The rigs are expected to drill up to 60 diamond holes totalling between 6000-7000m.
A 17-person team has been assembled on site and a further 7 experts are expected to visit the property periodically over the summer.

The three-month programme will include:
- 6,000-7,000m of diamond drilling in 7 target
areas;
- Reinterpretation and computer modelling of
old data;
- Geological mapping of areas uncovered by melting
of ice and snow;
- Airborne geophysical survey;
- Environmental Baseline Studies.
The new NPVs of the project published today
are $109m for the base case and $336m for the improved case.

The study establishes an economic case for reopening of the mine - using current metal prices this base case indicates a commercial project with a Net Present Value of US$52M (at a 10% discount rate) and an IRR of 35%.
